Operation Keller

Terrorism In Kashmir: The Indian Army has once again dealt a heavy blow to terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. In an encounter on Tuesday, May 13, in the dense Keller forests of Shopian district, the army killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. This operation was started in the name of 'Operation Keller', which was carried out by the army on the basis of secret intelligence.

Action taken based on specific information

Let us tell you that Operation Keller started when the security agencies got information about the presence of heavily armed terrorists in Shokal-Keller area of Shopian. After this, the units of the National Rifles started a siege and search operation. During this, there was heavy firing from the terrorists, in response to which the army also took charge and after a long encounter, killed all three terrorists.

Identification and connection with terrorist organization

One of the killed terrorists has been identified as Hussain Thokar, a resident of Anantnag. While the other two were Pakistani terrorists, whose names are being told as Ali Bhai alias Talha Bhai and Hashim Musa alias Suleman. All three terrorists were associated with the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba organization and were involved in many terrorist activities in the valley.

Big action after Operation Sindoor

Operation Keller is a major step taken by the Indian Army after Operation Sindoor, an action against terrorist hideouts in Pakistan and PoK on May 7. This success has further strengthened India's anti-terrorism efforts in the valley. Let us tell you that Lashkar-e-Taiba was established in the late 1980s as a terrorist wing of Markaz-ud-Dawa-wal-Irshad. This organization is considered one of the most active and dangerous terrorist organizations in South Asia. Many countries including India, America, Britain, Canada and the United Nations have declared it a terrorist organization.

India's tough strategy and Pakistan's role

However, in the last few years, India has started carrying out its operations against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir with modern techniques and accurate intelligence. Pakistan, under its proxy war model, shelters terrorist organizations that carry out infiltration and attacks across the LoC.
